Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made clear that he would repeal and replace President Barack Obama’s healthcare overhaul if he came in pole position in the Nov. 6 contest. However, few details are available about the former Massachusetts governor’s alternative plan to deal with the health needs to the American population.

Secret Service embarrassed by prostitution claims

Eleven members of the Secret Service who had been dispatched to Colombia ahead of President Barack Obama‘s visit had to be sent back to the U.S. after it emerged they had invited prostitutes to their rooms at the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena.

Santorum holds talks on way forward

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum took part in talks on Thursday to discuss ways of boosting his appeal following his disappointing performances in Tuesday’s contests. However, sources insist that the discussions did not focus entirely on convincing former House speaker Newt Gingrich to abandon the race.
